"Music Matters" is the third studio album by dZihan & Kamien. after their renowed studio albums "freaks and icons " (2000) and "gran riserva" (2002) as well as live recording dZihan & Kamien Orchestra "live in vienna" from 2004, they again have challenged their musical senses. Recording for the  album "music matters" started about 3 years ago in san remo, italy, followed by sessions in the unique saal 4 studios in berlin, and were completed at couch studios in vienna in dec 2008. With this album they went into exploring songs and the melodies. The recordings were made in a "vintage" way; quite the opposite of the previous records, "Freaks and Icons" or "Gran Riserva". On "music matters" DK are collaborating with the outstanding vocalists Helgi Jonsson and perform and play almost all of the instruments themselves, avoiding the techniques of the past, whether it be sampling, cutting or editing. This gives a brand new and almost atypical sound to be heard from DK but their uncompromised and well-know "finger print" is observable as always.
