IDIOTERNE |
S/T |
pupilo records | The idea to form Idioterne came about as a result of the friendship between Vick Lindström (vocals & guitar), Swedish by origin, now living a nomadic lifestyle toing and froing between Madrid and Brighton, with Migui (bass) and Juan A. (drums).

| Idioterne is one of the tightest outfits to have come up out of the Madrid underground in the last few years. They cut their teeth on the thriving nocturnal scene around Malasaña, where they have carved out a name for themselves, word of mouth being the driving force up until now. Intense songs, an emotionally driven and yet technically impeccable live show, it’s not hard to see why they have become so popular. Rockers to a man, obsessed with post hardcore and indie rock, on learning that At The Drive In their joint favourite band had broken up they decided it was down to them to fill the gap and take up the mantel of rage driven, emotionally charged rock. In true rock ‘n’ roll tradition things started to take shape in a garage–cum-rehearsal room with the long, hot Madrid afternoons spent perfecting their craft and impregnating their songs with attitude, passion and sweat. From there it was on to the first concerts and the band competitions, where suddenly Idioterne found themselves hailed as the next breakthrough band, winning the prestigious Emergenza competition among others. |
